Hi everyone, I'm looking for opinions on the grade of this piece. Specifically I'm wondering if there's enough detail in the hair to warrant a VF grade. All opinions are welcome. Thank you.

At PCGS, definitely yes.
At ICCS, perhaps just barely.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Dollarman, this is one of the coins that I posted on the Victorian fifty cents thread that was running a while back and it is mine. I tend to be a conservative grader which is why I have assigned a grade of Fine. I was thinking of getting the piece certified to upgrade my F12 registry set coin but I don't want to spend the money if the coin is indeed only a Fine.

Edited to add: The photos are mine also.

PCGS will, I`m not sure if ICCS will. Although I think it just barely makes VF-20.

Even if its a "slider" VF - eye appeal makes it a solid VF IMO.
