Was This A 1964 Doubled Die Reverse ?

OcalaFlorida Pillar of the Community United States 2824 Posts	Posted 03/17/2014 4:07 pm This Not A 1964 Doubled Die Reverse? I seen this on ebay and I wasnt sure if it is or not? I only had these pictures to go on.. It is labeled but we all know ebay users. I know that LCR says 1964 doubled die reverse is the second strongest doubled die reverse in the Lincoln series. And that the Doubling can be seen on all lettering, especially the last S in STATES. I do see doubling but maybe its die deteraration I think it is most likely Die Deterioration and not DDO ... I am unsure if I was right or wrong. Report this Post to the Staff

Note that the devices you are seeing is actually reduced in a flat shelf like doubling. It is caused by a machine issue from normal dies. So what you have is: Keep looking as their are nice doubled dies out there, but they are harder to find. Machine Doubling is actually damage to your coin. Report this Post to the Staff
