Looks like something is glued to the back. Acetone will take it off.

What is the weight of this coin compared with another Wheat cent? If lighter, the reverse may have been polished off?

I can just make out one wheat ear and part of the rim. I'd check the weight as well. But I'm leaning towards some kind of struck through error. Is the surface textured or is that just color modulation from the photography? If smooth it could be a 'super Greaser'. If rough textured, perhaps struck through cloth or cardboard?

I'm pretty sure I can see some kind of felt/fabric glued to the back. I can see fibers.

I agree it does look like something attached to it. The area in question on the upper right, I made an overlay and it is next to the "T" on CENT.

Don't use nail polish remover. Wal-mart has 100% pure.
