I'm totally out of my area here, and can't find any information about these medals. The medal winner is slightly easier to trace.

This is intriguing. How on Earth did this medal end up in the UK.?

Have you done this?
The history would be amazing.

I found some contemporary news reports of the athletics season but now I have to wade through years of alumni magazines online. Which is fascinating but difficult, because I can get distracted just looking up a word in a dictionary; following trails of exotic words and phrases.

Using the Venn diagram technique, it would appear Mr Moore was a Yalie.
Rest in Peace

Wish we met at the Philly show 2012.
Alganbagerap, could you imagine if the true owner /family could be found.
I have used a Venn in my classrooms

Good for you! A recipient of the Légion d'honneur medal, and the great-grandson of Clement Clark Moore!
