I've looked through over 5,000 Presidential dollar coins. I suddenly came upon a whole isolated batch of about 200 Adams coins that appear to be Struck Through Grease. Nothing like these before or after.

On the Obverse around the head & especially to the right of the left shoulder & even more so on the Reverse around the center of the coin & to the left of Liberty, there's a "bubbly, non-shiny, weird looking appearance on the coins.

No Starburst effect like on the Washington dollar coins, though.

It's very visible without a loupe & even more so when tilted just the right way under a light.

On ebay, there's a seller that says he found 18 after searching through 5,000 coins. He sold a few for .99 plus $5 shipping. When I searched for "Adams grease" only his listing & one other listing came up.

I'm thinking of selling them on ebay in "Dealer's Lots" of about 40-50.

Sorry I couldn't get better pics but they are much more visible that the pics show.

Opinions? Prices?

I sold a pair, then had some more and neither of the ones after it sold. It's a hit or miss with these. I have tons of these too so I fiured they're too common to warrant a real premium and after a couple of failed auctions for them I stopped listing them.
