I've noticed that the Mint seems very inconsistent... first they say that the 1933 double eagles are OK to own as long as you pay $20, then they up and take them when more are found.
The real question is, what do they want with these? I figure I'd be assuming too much if I said that surely they wouldn't destroy a $100K+ coin just for the heck of it?
