If you look back to my May 30, 2023 post in this thread, you'll see it.

I picked out a worthy successor to my departed 1960D Franklin half. Snagged it for face and it's been sitting in my meager stack--if you want to call it that--for the last several years. It was the most toned half in there, with the obverse toned golden with fingerprints in it. This makes both of my silver pieces only 40% but still have a nice and bright jingle, and together they only cost me a whopping $1.50. I didn't feel like consigning any of my few 90% halves to pocket duty. He'll happily ride around with the silver Ike and Irish penny.

Current state of the big ones

Not sure why they look so scratched up other than the pictures are 40 times magnified on the screen compared to holding them in your hand.

Current state of the small ones

Unfortunately as I mentioned a couple of years ago I have to carry my coins in a cloth pouch so that they don't wear through my pockets and I lose them.

The more coins I add the tighter the pouch gets.

As such they don't "Tumble" around but rather wear "laterally" against the coins they are sandwiched between.

Add in that all of the coins were silver until the gold was added that there were no nickels or clad coins which would be harder than them and wear them out faster.

So it seems some of them have unusual or unnatural looking wear to them.

Hopefully if some day in the future I submit them to a TPG they won;t get a details grade but even if they do I know that I genuinely wore them out naturally.
