Scary. He also has an 1895-0 Barber dime with an $1,800 bid already on it. I have no idea if that is fake, but would certainly not bid on it.

I agree, all 4 of the IHC are fake. I wouldn't be surprised if his other coins were also, but I don't know enough about the diagnostics of the other coins to offer an opinion. Hopefully, other members will take a look.

Why wouldn't the 1895-O dime, which is one of the keys and in a high grade like XF not be certified?
I'm not saying it's fake as I don't have enough experience to determine that.

If you look at this sellers prior listings, I think almost all of the coins are fake.

The 1869 is Type II so it's definitely fake...

From what I can see, the sharpness of the details are lacking especially considering the grade. There is above dot a the left side of the N of one on the back. Above the one on the back the overlapping leaves don't appear to extend like a sharply stuck one would. Also on the left side the details on the leaves look terrible, they look worn and possibly different to a clean strike of the this coin. Zoom in on the left hand side of the reverse and look at the leaves, they don't look right. And on the front the top three leaves on the barber head, look how close the left leaf is to the S in states also the leaf under that same S looks alot closer than a clean strike.
I would prefer someone to double check these observations please, prior to reporting as I don't want to be responsible for a mistake. The one problem as mentioned is the poor picture. Another thing to add, has this been graded 45 XF by the seller? And printed onto a plastic case?

To add on, the T and the A of states are nearly if not touching barbers hair. And the neck of barber, at the very bottom the horizontal line is alot different to that of a sharply struck version. If you look where the date is, above that the line of the neck looks different. And considering it was 'graded' why wasn't a die strike error line(unsure of the proper name) mentioned going down barbers face, down to the date? The die strike error? may be on the plastic case. But the neckline above the date is definitely not a match in my opinion.

Look at his sold listings. There are three Morgans that have that have the artificial dirt in the stars typical of Chinese copies. He should be reported.

Lousy pictures to look at--but that "type 2" 1869 is pretty funny! They thought the fingerprint lends credibility?
