Yay first post!

I have a 1939 penny, while not in the best shape, doesn't appear to have the usual copper coloring to it.

Any suggestions on what may have happened to it?

Thanks

johnnysprawl.......to the forum...When you say the usual copper colouring are you referring to the normal colour of a penny, or is it a golden colour.?

Thanks Wert!

I just meant that there is no copper coloring to it like a normal penny...looks as if it is plated...
Rest in Peace

johnnysprawl...My brother-in-law gave me a 1973 gold plated penny...not worth anything (unless it was real gold)..But a keeper for a conversation piece...Keep posting your finds..we all enjoy it here...
