This is my most worn IHC--but I still like it, the RPD is really cool!

Nice, strong RPD, very visible in heavily worn coin. S1? S7? Maybe coin is too worn to see any die lines or die crack
Oops, didn't see your title to thread. Why S1?

"S1? S7?" S-1 was my initial call--I need to look more closely.

Funny how the re-punch seems to stand out more on some worn coins. Still a beauty.

Another cherry pick ? I can't imagine some seller not spotting that.

Waxemm, my older version of the attribution guide lists an S7. The only way to distinguish between it and S1 was by die lines and die cracks. It makes sense that S7 was just a later die state. Thanks for the update. I wonder how many other changes are in the guide since my edition was printed.

Quote: S7 No Variety This variety was found to be a later die state of S1 Interesting! I was also wondering what were the odds of the two RPDs looking exactly the same? The seller had listed this as a S-1, but I've seen others on ebay not attributed as such.

DV...how much do you think they're worth in that condition ? Just curious.

Honestly, I'm not sure Since it's such a strong RPD, I think it still has some premium. What do you suppose a normal 64-L would price in this grade?

For mine, I paid $35...so I think I did alright. While it's only a "2 star" variety in Snow's book, it's far more dramatic than many RPDs of that premium grade. Dollar-wise, I would like to think my coin is worth more like $50-60 in this grade.

I remember that one--a little better grade! Did you take new pics? I suspected it looked better than the ebay shots.

I haven't taken pics yet. I'm still trying to figure out my color issues. As soon as I get that figured out I'll get some decent pics. It did look quite a bit better in hand.
