I just picked this up off ebay. Pics are sellers, not mine. I like the red showing through on this one and it wound up bringing quite a bit less than I anticipated. Thoughts on grade?

Very nice Kentucky Token. I see what appears to be the slightest of rub on the highest points.

It is a plain edge. They aren't dated, but are commonly referred to as "1792 Kentucky Tokens". They were minted in England that year and it was the same year KY joined the Union.

I am hoping it is low MS. I have trouble grading these because there are often strike issues, etc.

I think you will likely get the MS grade....too bad about the fingerprint though.....thick or thin planchet?

These are common in MS and RD. The strikes on these tokens were generally strong. It might make MS. I think I see slight friction though.

I keep coming back to it - I really like it. I think I see friction on the hand and the bottom of the scroll, high AU.

I like the natural toning on it, very nice token!

Thanks everyone. This is my first colonial so I am pumped to get it in hand. I like the overall look and color so hopefully it doesn't disappoint in person. Buying higher dollar coins off ebay always gives me some goosebumps.

The auction for it went to $360 with about two days remaining and it never moved up again so I am into it at $365 with shipping, which I feel like is pretty good.
