Found this in my change - looks like something went wrong with the copper overlay especially on the reverse - sorry my obv photo isn't very good. Any ideas?

Gas bubbles.Trapped gas under the copper plating.

The white marks under the UNITED look like residue from the wash process. Not sure of a better name. What do you think?

Those are water spots under UNITED. John1 is correct about the gas under the plating. In the 1980's zincolns a lot of them looked like that till they perfected the rinse technique on the zinc planchets before plating. Still show up even today from time to time.
