I pick up this 50 cents today for few dollars. It's a VF with a strong die clash on the reverse. Can I qualify this one as a hoof through 6?

Thanks,

Looks like the precursor die crack. The crack between the left edge of the 6 and the bottom of the 4 looks exactly like the one in "hoof over 6".

To me it, the "hoof over 6" looks like it lost two rectangular chunks within the circle of the 6, giving the effect of the hoof extending over it.

Refer to the 2014 Charlton fifty cents die variety section . This one shown is a progression die crack that is just before the Hoof over 6 listed variety. There sure are some neat die breaks and cracks in the George VI 50 cents series.
Rest in Peace

I would say no to the Hoof through 6. the hoof through 6 comes out the other side of the 6.

Thats my opinion too. I think it's the same die who gave the hoof through 6 but at an early stage of his life.

Definitely early stage but I would say it still qualifies. We have the 1996 attached 6 nickel in different stages and the 1990 bare belly in different stages of bareness as well as others.
Call it what you want but I would say -"hoof through 6-early stage". IMO

abderrahim, here's a picture with arrows where the die clash is visible. More easy with coin in hands.

If I compare with the Charlton pictures on page 316, the one I found can be fitted between the middle picture and the one on the right side with the hoof through 6.

We can see also the lips of the king Under your word Clash. Here's ans other variation of the hoof. The die chip in the 6 seem weak:
