This is a 5 yuan piece from Republic of China Year 10 which would be 1921.

But if I remember right, this coin is really commonly faked. Yours doesn't look awful but I usually treat all Chinese coins with extreme suspicion.

China never made a "5 yuan piece", even though it says "5 yuan" in Chinese on the reverse. Nobody in the 20th century made circulating silver coins this big. It is entirely non-genuine. I also highly doubt it is silver, whatever the spec.gravity says. Vary rarely are these "fantasy coins" made of genuine silver.

27 grams is the correct weight for a 1 yuan, but the 1 yuan coin is not that large. It is either considerably thinner than a typical crown-sized coin, or considerably less dense. If the latter, then the specific gravity should be way out.

I assume you meant to say "24.49". A weight in water of only 2.49 means it's almost floating so would give an SG pretty close to 1.

SG = 27 / (27 - 24.49) = 10.8

The Krause listing for KM/Y 407 shows a perfectly normal-sized dollar coin, 38mm across. If the numista one really were 45mm rather than a typo, then yes, it's fake. The picture was pulled from a Heritage auction so I'm pretty sure it's genuine; I'd assume Numista simply has the size wrong.
