I have got a few requests about how I store my 3,000+ coins, most of them foreign. So here are some pictures.
My-Coin-Storage
I have drawers full of labeled Ziploc bags.

They contain any relevant 2x2s...

Loose silver goes inside a smaller Ziploc bag...

The rest is all loose base-metal coins. Sometimes I lump a few countries together (here we see the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba as well).

I also have a binder for sets and more valuable coins in 2x2s. Here are my Austrian schillings and euros.

Canadian dollars, my largest set.

Now you know! I just didn't want to clutter up my "weekly coin buys" thread with this post.

I collect World coins ancient to modern. The collection has about 4,500 pieces, but the core of the collection perhaps half of that number.
Even in the core part of the collection, perhaps 90% of it would have a value for each piece in the $5 to $20 range, and that part of the collection is in 2x2's, individually labelled; the 2x2's in archival quality non PVC album pages.

There are a few more valuable pieces, but they are stored in a safe.

nalaberong: Have you had any problems with the larger ziplock baggies giving the coins a green hue or powder?

Remember that all those loose ones in the plastic bags will get scratches on them from each of the other ones in the same bag. Also, dissimilar metals can and do react electrically so best to separate.

I've had no PVC problems - food-safe bags don't contain the stuff.
