I know we list date and time when the last post on a topic was, but is there a way to display somewhere when the post was made? Maybe next to the Author in that column? Only reason I ask is mainly in the buy and sell and trade forums. I end up looking at the same ones over and over mostly due to people writing saying they received this or received that, and I never remember how new the original topic is/was. Does that make sense? Part of it is the common themes for subject line material, so sometimes they are hard to differentiate. Just a want and certainly not a need per say.

Maybe even request the posting person to put a date in the subject line?

I would second this idea. I too read the same thread time & time again, and have often thought that it would be handy to have the original post date visible without having to go to page 1 of the thread to see if it's likely to be current or not.

Maybe the post date can be set as an automatic default in the subject line.

Bobby,
I also thought it would be convenient to have that original post date visible to speed surfing for new topics. But now I've learned to use the # of views to judge if a topic is new. Anything over 25 seems over a day old; over a hundred is about a week; and over 200 is a resurrected topic.
