1- It is either very very mildy ofF center or a very slight MAD (Misaligned Die). We would need to see the back but it is within mint tolerance. They become collectible when the Date, Motto or Libery is missing because the dies didn't strike it correctly.

2- Counterstamp- There are many many different types. Google image "Counterstamp Coins" and you will see a lot. They are more of a novelty.

The first one is most likely a misaligned die. You will be able to tell by the reverse: if it too is not centered then you would probably have an off-center cent, if it is normal it is a misaligned die which is very common. The second one has a hole drilled in it along with a Freemason counter-stamp. I hope this helps.

Where can I procure said Freemason counter-stamp? Lol. That's awesome!

And thanks for the info on the first one too, I just noticed the edge was a little thicker on one side than the other. And in fact the other side is normal so a misaligned die it is!

Thanks again! This site has helped me a lot in my first couple weeks of obsessively sifting through change! It all started cause I wanted to look through this stack for wheaties!
