Coin has very nice detail but appears corroded... I would say XF45-AU50 details

Bit of wear over Vikkie's eye and in her hair. (obv.)

Obvious wear on the crown especially and some of the leaves. (rev.)

This coin has suffered light corrosion early in it's life, but has nicely patinated since.

Would have been EF40, but the light corrosion mainly visible on Vikkie's cheek and in the fields around the crown to a lesser extent, has brought it down a whole grade. That is unfortunate. I agree with jdmern's 'details'.

Split grade. VF20 (obv.) F15 (rev.
I think the obverse looks a bit better than the reverse, despite the more obvious corrosion.

@jeremyl- The corrosion is going to affect the value a good bit... This particular coin still actually has decent eye appeal for a coin with problems, if I was selling it I would probably ask for price on par with a VF coin and more than likely accept a price on par with a F12...

Thanks jdmern for the info. I'm pretty new at collecting coins and I just love learning more. I am from Newfoundland and I'm going for the full set of NL coins.

I absolutely love Newfoundland coins, the Victoria cents and 20 Cents are prob my favorites, the Victoria half dollars are absolutely beautiful in higher grades but just so hard to come by...
