does anybody think it is cleaned or does it look like somebody rubbed the dirt off of it and I scratched it because I think if it was cleaned it would not have any dirt on it.

I looked this over earlier this morning and decided it was a VF-25.
Barber coins struck in New Orleans are KNOWN for weak strikes.
I like the color and I do not think that it was cleaned.
$15? Good deal.

The following numbers are from the Coin Dealer's Newsletter. (Oct. 2013)

Fine - Bid/Ask $14.00/$15.50
Very Fine - Bid/Ask $30.00/$33.00

Beyond these numbers it is a question of exact grade.
But, as a Barber Collector I DO like your coin.

May I ask, "Why did you buy it?" Did it 'speak' to you?
For a type set? Or ?
