I am very happy with this piece. I do not know how to grade gold, but the details are so sharp. au58 seems low to me. but I could be wrong. I still love it. I have always wanted one. I'm thinking a $5.00 for my christmas present to myself.

Very pretty coin! I am not going to guess at a grade as I am "gold-grading challenged".

I'm feeling very well, thanks. Eventually, this too shall pass.

Very nice coin and the date is the start of the first worldwar

I guess somebody saw just the slightest trace of wear on the left side of the feather going to 5 O'clock just right of the 1914

I love the indians- think the incuse design is nifty. They're supposed to be tough to grade for most folks who don't look at them regularly. Ageka has a great eye for gold coins!

He certainly does. If I ever buy gold, I'd want his opinion before I purchased.

Hey Grovey

Nice coin ,and one of my favorites,, The incused indian design has always facinated me !!

In terms of coin history there is very little by way of incused design, a little on the Morgan a couple of designers initials and the Gold Indian Just off the top of my head, thats all I can think of .

Very nice Coin !!!

Mikes right gold coins can be habit forming !!!

I believe Ageka is a woman (there are a few of us in the numismatic community, you know ).

I now know that I was wrong and Ageka is a man. I've fixed my posts accordingly.

I happen to have a strong impression he's not.

I know there's more NumismaGirls and I'd be happy to welcome more :)

This is definitely one of the drawbacks of the internet. I just emailed him to find out. I've been absolutely sure for a very long time (but can't remember what it was that made me so sure as it was a while ago). I'll edit my posts accordingly once I hear back.
Rest in Peace

This got me thinking as well! I know ageka is the Flemish abbrevation of letters to a full name. The first name is August for sure, and at some point we were told what the whole name was! I looked back in the "nicknames" thread and "what's in a name thread" but still do not know! It has never come up before but I know there have been references such as "she" and "her" in past posts. No one has corrected them! I have no idea why I assumed a female as well! Mike

I am sorry about the confusion I am male
I started my posting days on capital stool were many traders
and investors in goldstocks had female avatars and outdid each other in changing often
So I started on every forum with a female filmstar of which I
do not even know the name ( it came from a free avatar site )
I started here too with the female avatar
