My Large Cents would all be upgraded to AU/UNC.
That's just for starters.
At my company, we have shift trades so I'd give someone a small incentive to pick all my shifts up, and still keep my health insurance. We have a couple guys who work one day a year and reap all the benifits.

I would still collect... but I think I would be more focused on (depending on the amount of the lottery) guided philathropy... I seriously may not even quit my day job... but that`s only b/c I have probably one of the best jobs in the world!
I think I would focus on my maritime collection and perhaps pick up those gold newfies I've wanted for awhile..

it would be possible to corner the market on some rare coins for instance there was only 2041 minted of the 1946 Newfoundland 5 cent and they would be affordable and that would be cool!!

I hope this answer doesn't offend anybody but I always thought that if I won the lottery I would acquire loads of old banknotes and silver circulation coins and recirculate them. Maybe it would spark the collecting bug in others... Also, I would still collect - and my collection would be sweet! I think also I would set aside all that I had collected prior to winning millions so I could appreciate my roots.

When I go to the bank .. I always pick up the notes they have set aside that are too old... and put them back into circulation.... for the exact same reason.. plus it's funny to see when a teller looks at the money and then questions if they should take it or not... it's like they're not sure it's even real money!

Actually, it's easy to make tiny winnings from lotteries EVERY week. How may you ask? Never buy a lottery ticket! That way, the net profits which should go back to the Government are spent back into the community. If you don't spend money on lottery tickets yourself, you should be a beneficiary of the profits of them, simply by being a member of the community that the lottery profits are supposed to benefit. Honest cheating, and the lazy 'do nothing' option. Tax saved, slightly greater income by not loosing on the averages by buying a ticket, and a little more to spend on coins.

If lotteries worked more like raffles they would actually be a bit more fair.
I would definitely expand my collection and make that my occupation.

I would still collect for sure. How much I spent depends on how much I won. I don't know if id pick up Barber quarters and halfs too or just stick with my dimes honestly. I would probably pick up some nice gold coins and a nice type set, using the best keys where I can. I would also set up a coin club in my city and do some large drives. attend a meeting get a free silver eagle, 10 Barber dimes, and a Franklin half dollar type things. id hope the dimes would create some new Barber dime fanatics and the others just as an added bonus and to drum up interest. For the personal collection id also get a bunch of Canadian coins. they've interested me since early childhood, my first coins I collected were Canadian dimes and quarters I found in circulation here and that the guy who ran the local pet store I frequented saved for me. I'd also become a supporter here as well as donating a lot of coins and money to the various kid drives the site does. You'd also see me spending older coins regularly in the hopes of getting people hooked on collecting.

I really think I would just fill in the holes with the same or only slightly better grades than I already have. I have too many memories attached to the coins I have. I would definitely add the Gold page to my 7070, but that would be for investment purposes as much as anything. Ditto with adding a few 90% silver sets that aren't part of my current collection, like Franklin halves, pre-65 Washington quarters, and pre-65 Roosevelt dimes. There may be a few isolated coins I would upgrade, but those are rare. Ditto with stamps. A few isolated items, some investment quality, but for the most part I would use lottery winnings to purchase additional revenue stream sources, like rental property.

I think I would buy some beefy silver thaler coins and precious metal ancients which I can't afford right now.

My life is going to be less longer than a century and I will die someday without getting to collect the coins I would be able to collect if I won the lottery. its okay though because I don't think I would even want them, there too valuable and too important. I would need to take care of them intensively.
