My daughter in law got these from her dad and granddad who served the country and She has a pile of notes about 50+. from unc to very bad. Does someone know of a good referance book so I can look them up.

Most are Japanese and Korean and Phillipine notes with several other countries Cuba, Mexico Barbados etc. To many to post pics. All are from the 1940`s back to 1910

everal are like the previous post on Korean notes. Also military pay notes.

One is like the 10 peso in the Korean post with Victory stamped on reverse. Some with guilden etc

Any help would be gratefull as these arnt my expertise

Thank You
Gary

Also I took pics and would email if someone sent a PM

Try this site for trawling. Very comprehensive illustrations.

Military scrips may be more difficult and you may have to post scans for identification from members.

Thanks thai-vic.

A very good site to id these bills. Are the numbers posted at each note just for that reference site only. Or a standard id

number for all references.

Like the following:

Phillipine 2 peso Victory series 66 for 1944 with overprinted Victory is # 95-a or b

Cuba 20 centavos 1897 arms and oxcart unc bill is 53a

I have several Asian bills that I havent figured where they are from. But I will look until I find them.

Also I have several Japanese invasion? notes with punched holes in them and most are unc. I'm trying to get things organized for my grandson so he can have some

knowledge about his gift.

So far I have found notes from a 1900 series Canadian .25$ shin plaster to 1914 Mexican, and all over the South Pacific. 10 shillings GeoVI.

Australia

Thanks to All for the help

Gary,

Do you mean Military Payment Certificates?

I found this site that has info and photos. The link titled "Gallery" is the one that has the different series; clicking on a series (e.g. 461) brings up photos of the MPC's issued. On that same page scroll down and you'll see another link that says "View Series Specifications".

Hopefully this helps.

I Also have some North Korean Communist notes that were from the Korean War era.
