the first picture is of my 16/16 that I sold in 2012. couldn't pass on the second only because couldn't find any 1916 buffalos with the double feathers except for DDO,s any thoughts

The first picture looks like a doubled date, but the second picture (the close up) looks like a different coin all together.

EDIT: Didn't read the description that they were two different coins... No, the bottom one does not look DDO.

Lack of doubling on the hair ties in front of the date tells me it's a no go.

I'm confused. Is this photos of two different coins? What is the purpose? Something wrong with that first one. Note the lines running through the 9?

Easy there Carl, the first is the one he sold. The second one is one he bought on ebay or someplace.
He thinks its probably a 1916 over a 1916.

I can tell it's acid treated and WE need better pictures...
Dang it, I didn't know you can tell by the feather and hair.
I need to review all mine again..

It (the 2nd nickel) is actually NOT the least bit acid treated, nor is it a 16/16, although I can see why someone might think so.
