The coin is very dirty and the dirt is fairly loose. I might chuck it in some warm oil for a while. The silver is very soft. I can't use a blade. Report this Post to the Staff

Medieval Pillar of the Community 3772 Posts	Posted 12/12/2014 5:28 pm As said, I doubt it would be a modern fake but it might be a contemporary one (based on your comment on the softness of the silver) but you better show it to a knowledgeable coin dealer in hand when you get the next chance.
