I like it too. Very worried about the second pictures that I took. The coin is very dirty and the dirt is fairly loose. I might chuck it in some warm oil for a while. The silver is very soft. I can't use a blade.
Sorry Medieval. Saw the obverse and went and hid under the bed clothes biting the pillow. Here are two pics of the reverse, different camera settings. It is very mangled.
As said, I doubt it would be a modern fake but it might be a contemporary one (based on your comment on the softness of the silver) but you better show it to a knowledgeable coin dealer in hand when you get the next chance. Based on the pictures alone it would be difficult to determine.
Thanks Medieval. No coin experts anywhere near me. A contemporary fake is preferable to a modern one. I will go ahead with the warm oil and see what happens. I don't think that the coin is worth much at all, I just like it.
I think it's definitely real! Congrats on the coin pish! I've got two 9mm Phoenician coins as well! I'm in love with everything Phoenician! Hence my name hahah...
