I find that the 2011 silver proof set I bought a year ago has hair packed inside the display box, one long hair with the half dollar and another short hair with a president dollar. What's the chance that you have two hairs in the same set? Is it worthy to keep this set?
Return is not an option.

That would aggravate me to no end. I would probably try to unseat the lens and remove the strays. Still, better than finding them in a hamburger.

Open it, get the hair DNA tested and go to that persons house and demand your money back for ruining your proof set.

.....or you get the DNA from them and clone the person, then punch him in the face

Hopefully the hairs aren't curly :)
Is it on of those years of sets where you can easily open the case without damaging it, remove the hairs, and then close again?

Better in your proof set than in your food.

Take trent's advice. Since these cases are designed to oen and close fairly easily and leave no trace that they have been opened, just open it and remove the offending hairs. Then close the case again.

Great advice. I am going to take out hairs and now go to find a video showing how to open the case..
