1865 Indian Head Cent Fancy 5 - Die Break And Doubling

angellionel Valued Member United States 191 Posts	Posted 04/08/2014 9:45 pm I've been rummaging through my bag of found Indian Head cents to pull the better looking ones when I came across this nice oldie. After removing the caked-on soil I noticed that the reverse has die cracks on the reverse at the 7:00, 11:00, and 1:00 o'clock locations. The 7:00 o'clock die crack meets up to another die crack that runs nearly horizontally across the wreath. The obverse has a doubling in the letters OF and AM in OF AMERICA, the tips of the feathers, as well what appears to be doubling inside the second digit of the date. Anyone knows if these are known errors for the year? Thanks! Report this Post to the Staff
