Ike Large Dollar Coin Bags From Cash Vault

Bernie, this is where it gets hairy .... most of MY bags, have "holes" in the plastic large enough to wiggle out a dollar. MAYBE A MORGAN?

First time it happened, I almost freaked. I didn't know the bag was compromised until I got home. Ike bags weigh (APPROX) 50 pounds. Too heavy for me to lift. A teller placed it in the car seat, with the compromised side DOWN.

So ... What to do? I felt If I took the coins back, I could kiss my connection bye-bye.

Net results is I still get Ike bags at face ... and most are compromised.

If this happens to you, make your own call. Personally I would SMILE ... and take the abuse ... like a man.

A while back I would get $1000 bags of Ikes from my bank on a regular basis. The first few bags were great. Found a few Morgans a Peace dollars. A couple of fake ones also. Then I started to notice the holes in the bags about the time the Silver started to dry up. There was one Teller that showed GREAT interest in the bag of Ikes. I finally told the bank to quit ordering them for me.

I was having a difficult time getting rid of them on E-bay. In my opinion, there wasn't enough profit for me to sell them without finding some Silver in the bags. I'm still sitting on about $400 really nice BU Ikes. I've sold about $300 to my local coin store for face value.

Good luck to those of you who are able to get the bags. It was a real thrill to find Morgans and Peace dollars at face value. Just be careful, it doesn't take long to accumulate a small fortune in Ikes while trying to decide what ones to keep or sell.

Side note, I also found 3 or 4 Fake Mexican coins. Check them with a magnet.

Oh man, I forgot I'll have to cash them in somewhere...

My situation is quiet similar......

First bag I got ====>He SPOTTED an EAGLE!<=====

After the first bag, the digging and multiple holes were rampant.

But ... last time I was in to talk to my banker ... she told me Mr. Xxx. Xxxxxxxxx has left the (whole) company.

Ya think, he was caught on camera DIGGING into my last few bags?

Could he be so dumb, greedy, and stupid to be unaware of cameras in a BANK?

Maybe he got a Morgan or Peace dollar, or more. What comes around goes around?

I am only hours or minutes away from finding out if a local bank was able to get me bag of ikes...i had a dream that I got them, it was a crazy dream but I remmeber seeing the bag of ikes....

well nothing yet head cashier at one of my pick up banks said she is still working on it,,,...

Thanks Guys for all the info you have provided. I went into a bank today and demanded Ike's. She said you have to order those in $1000's. I said I'll take $2000. She said ok, they may come in next week, what is your number. I gave her my number and walked out thinking, That was too easy. She called me 30 minutes later, I figured, oh great here comes the bad news. Nope!! She said she called and ordered but they only had one bag!! She said they marked it to come to this bank branch and I'll call you when it comes in.

I can't wait!! If I find a Silver Dollar I'm going to go crazy

I will document everything for sure.

This will be the first time I get to Click Clack Ike's!!
