I'm thinking of getting two wedding set graded, should I only send the loons or the sets.
Is it worth it and whats the cost ,CCCS, ICCS and PCGS or NGC which is better.
I don't think any have been graded yet.

As I understand - the "gem" here is the Loon, and all the set as single unit.
IMO, do not believe, that the graded Loonie will be worth more then non-broken set. If you have some quantity of these sets, you might do experiment to send one to be graded.

Send the loonie only to TCNC, in Quebec City, they are PCGS dealer and get pcgs to mention on the label mintage and consign it to the big RCNA auction this year in August and in Mississauga This will set market value for this coin, in recent TCNC AUCTIONS 2005P 1cent nonmagnetic sold for over 10,000, and a 1967 5 cent rotated 180% 3500.00 all plus juice and hst. They might give you a break on slabbing fees if you consign with them, my guess 150.00 for shipping and pcgs fees. You need a third party grader to confirm mintage figure and a large auction to create a market value.

It's rare that a graded NCLT coin commands a premium over a non-graded NCLT. In this case I would go with @Silveroid and say the intact set is more likely to have a premium than the graded loonie will.

The only unique coin in this set is the loonie, it needs a large TPG like PCGS to confirm mintage and gain acceptance, acknowledgement on the label and a well respected auction.

A TPG has no better or more reliable access to mintages than any of us. Either you believe the RCM annual report numbers or you do not.

That's true, but having the figure on a major TPG label will do wonders for this coin.

Well, if it does, then the buyers are idiots. Chasing shiny objects with the right label. Buy the COIN not the holder. Let me be clear, I don't discount the general value of a GRADING from a TPG when the grading is in question. But, in this case unless the coin is compromised (like from being removed from it's safe capsule) then the grade is pretty clear (PF-67 or PF-68 adjusted into the TPG's scale). And, if it doesn't come back with the very best grade available, people could actually discount it severely.

All the value in this coin is based on it's low mintage if confirmed, like an outfit like PCGS, the actual grade is not important in this instance. Even ICCS if they would mention mintage on the label will add credence.

IMO, not worth having them graded. Although, CCCS will be the cheapest, followed by ICCS, NGC and PCGS.
