Hi all,

I recently opened up my safe to get something and decided to flip through my collection of banknotes I couldn't bring myself to sell. I had honestly forgotten what was in there.

As I figured, there wasn't much of real interest, but I did find three $1 bills that I saved from my old work... a run with a binary repeater (G 11771177 G) in the middle. Obviously I'm not spending a crisp uncirculated repeater, but are the other two worth holding on to? If I were to sell the run, would people pay more than $2 extra for the run versus the single bill?

I personally wouldn't collect in this way but there must those that do. Good for them!

I thought I was the only one who did this.

If I find a * in a CU pack I will keep the two neighbors so I can remember the serial number the bill is replacing. Unfortunately I've only had to do that a few times hehe.

If I find a radar or repeater I'll keep the higher and lower as well. I have two cases from when they used to pull 9999 and 0000 and keep the 9997 and 9998 before the *s.

I keep my bills in those 8 1/2 X 11 sized 4 note holder so I'll keep the bills hiding in between the ones of interest. If I were to sell the bill of interest I'd probably just include the other two at face.
