In late 2004 I purchased a signed copy of "The Standard Handbook of $1 Web-Fed test Notes - 1988A, 1993, 1995 - Second Edition" by Bob Kvederas Jr. & Sr. after purchasing the series 1988A G-P Block "overprint on reverse" error.
At the time the Web Book lists only one 3rd print on reverse error on page 115, the G-P Block note.
Shortly after purchasing the book, I came across another 3rd print on reverse Web Note on
ebay, this one was from the A-F Block (not listed in the book), and at the time, sold for around $2,300.00 (give or take a few dollars)..
I have not seen another note from that sheet in almost 10 years (I was on a self-imposed
ebay BAN from 2006 until recently) and last week while searching for my last G-P Block triple complex error, come upon the A-F Block 3rd print on reverse error, with zero notation of it being the rare Web-Press Note.
Since my divorce settlement in 2010 had erased all my life savings, and put a stop on all future Numismatic purchases, all I could do was focus on how to purchase this note.
After my Brothers death in 2008, I set money aside for my cremation, along with all the necessary information Funeral Homes need in a envelope, so my Children don't have to worry about anything when the time comes.
Since I was hell-bent on purchasing this note, to go with my other note, I decided it was time to dip into the funds, and worry about replacing the money in the future.
Anyway, I received the note this morning, and quite surprised of the condition. My G-P Note is PMG graded at 66, and except for a pinhole on the border, this A-F note is as good, if not better then the G-P note.
â-ºThe primary reason for this thread is to find out if there are other Web-Note Blocks known with the overprint on reverse that have surfaced since Mr. Kvederas 2nd edition book.â—„
