The portrait was engraved by Jean-Baptiste DANIEL-DUPUIS, who was tragically murdered by his insane wife in 1898.

Thank you everyone! I bought this other one a couple of months ago. It was engraved by Georges Henri Prud'homme, who also engraved a series of French stamps issued in the 1920s honoring Louis Pasteur.

Here is a silver maritime medal with a mermaid and a ship in a storm. I believe the mermaid side was engraved by Herni Dubois (1859-1943) and the reverse by Augustin Armand Caque (1793-1881).
