Ok, after about 8 hours of well deserved sleep. My brain is below boiling once again.

I have shot pics of all the 1961-D RPM's I have and here is another I am currently researching.

I don't know about anyone else, but I like to attribute my own coins, and then try to match them up against sources. Some of these websites, the pictures are horrible.
Enough said.

The first 1961-D/D (or better) shows a strong upper and lower split serif;

This next picture has TWO markers.

On the Top Right of the Memorial building and travels down the last column.

The "C" in AMERICA has a significant die chip.

The Die chips shows on 7 of 9 examples
The Extra metal on the building is on 9 of 9 examples - some are weak.

The last thing I could find on all 9 of 9 coins is that the top of columns #5 and #6 are washed out pretty badly;

I am currently search through all the coppercoins examples, and I'll report if I find a match.

I didn't find a match on Variety Vista, CONECA, coppercoins.com or Wexler's blue guide. But if you find several of this one, I would submit it to various attributers.

Hunh Nothing on the first pass on Coppercoins. Only three looked like what I have above and they were 17, 33 and 72. RPM 072 seemed closest.

Geeesh I wonder if some one had missed the "C" die chip in AMERICA...yet again, How can you Miss this ?

Coop I have seven of ten that show the die chip.

I'll wait for John Wexler to come back on line, and submit it to him. This will start a 2nd package to send him. I am sure I will find others. = )

I would put one in a coin flip and keep these marked as from the same die. Submit it to CONECA first. (Normally I would say coppercoins, but they are accepting submissions right now) then to Wexler. John probably already has this one listed. But get the numbers and when you submit it to coppercoins, give then those numbers as well. Then they will add the link numbers with your coin. I nothiced the die chip in the "C" when I was looking and no one mentioned it. The obverse looks a lot younger than the reverse, so it may have been replaced a few thousand after you coin was struck. So we maybe looking for the wrong markers for your coin? CONECA likes markers that are strong to ID their dies. You've got that with your coin. (2X)
