I live in BC and for some reason it seems to take Canada Post forever to get my packages delivered there...3 to 4 weeks compared to about a week anywhere else. Wondering if anyone else is having the same issues?

Getting items from Quebec is not my problem...its sending to Quebec that is taking 3-4 weeks lately which I don't understand why. Items going to the east coast only take a week and my US customers are even getting their packages quicker than my people in Quebec.

Interesting, are you going to some small community in the North? I am usually a week to Montreal.

My worst was 5 weeks from Vancouver to Ottawa over the Christmas rush.

Yeah, sometimes it can take about 3 weeks to get to the east coast.

never a problem for us and we have more than a few wonderful customers in PQ. BC to Quebec 3-4 days, same as anywhere else.

rmc, if you live in a somewhat remote area of BC, as I do, the problem is most likely at your end. An Expresspost envelope mailed here on Friday morning will not be tracked in Richmond until Tuesday.

Yes I live in northern BC but that still does not explain why all other provinces (except Quebec) get there item quick. Even people in Atlantic Canada are getting there packages in half the time. I just don't get it

Perhaps some communities in northern Québec are not accessible by land traffic?

Quebec is a very big province. Where exactly in Quebec? I'm in Montreal and it uses to take just 1 week but if it's a small town could take longer as well.

I sell lots to Quebec, and it takes 10-14 days. I live 3 hrs west of Edmonton near jasper national park. I know the frustration. However, all my buyers have been very understanding. It also takes about the same amount of time to receive items from Quebec. I just never worry about it. In over 750 packages only 2 never arrived, and I think it was a scam.

I guess it's two elements: you living in Northern BC yourself and the buyer living in a small town in Québec.

All items shipped to Quebec have to be "processed" at the Ontario border inspection. .(entering a distinct society) ......and remember that all labels must be bilingual. ..or the OLF (Office de la Langue Francais) will get involved in it..

The last 2 buyers are in Victoriaville and the other in Quebec city. I would understand that my location might slow things a bit if all other places got their items at the same speed as Quebec but that's not the case. Yes I'm in northern BC but only an hour from Dawson Creek and 2 from Grande Prairie AB...its not like I'm on the moon.
DEVLEC...Really? I didn't know that items going into Quebec had to be processed and inspected, that might explain things. As far as the mailing label...I copy and paste the address as the buyer wrote it.
Might be a factor of a few different things...just gets frustrating when people start getting mad at me for a 3 to 4 week delivery time when it should only take a week. I've had a few that were not very patient and understanding.

The OLF (Office de la Langue Francais) is just about the most absurd and stifling project in Canadian history. Exactly how is one supposed to translate an address into French...so stupid.
