Sold this 1913 S Type 2 to a guy and he claims it a blur!

I never had a blur happen and think he's so full of it just to return the coin. Check he feedback, he never bought a coin unless I missed it.

*Please keep this topic clean, I might have to link it for ebay support and the buyer*

The mint mark is there but I see why there may be some confusion.

He's someone who is not into buffalo's like me. I can see stuff on them other people can't, lol.

I just wish would understand.

I tried to explain how acid can only eat the soft metal but he's like, I want a refund!

I've noticed in my garage that the features of a acid-restored buffalo are very fragile. If this particular restoration took "a lot of acid" as you describe, I would not expect the feature to be all that clear and even a little bit transient. It's a really weak mintmark. And you did describe it as a really weak mintmark. Now the buyer's saying it's so weak that it's a blur. Was the buyer rude about it? You seem pretty offended by the buyer's statements.

what is a blur or what does it mean? I've never heard that term before. does it mean the buyer is saying the pics were too blurry or something?

@speck,I was mad about it because he opened a case saying item not as description.
He might of damaged it too because they sure are fragile. But I think more acid fixes them.

@Justin, My guess is that a blur means a lump. But ncw again, I never had that happen and I done over 500+ dates and 100+ mint marks.
I sold most on ebay that had mint marks.

The half feathers and two feathers sell pretty quick.

*Added, maybe I'll just take the return and do a better acid restore and sell it for more money.probably like 30. I sold it to him for 20 plus 3 for shipping.

The s is really hard to see and any acid treated date/mint mark can disappear easily by rubbing against something.

i would agree, tell hm you will refund as long as he doesn't leave you negative feedback.

And based on your photos he shouldn't have ever bought the coin, it was obviously a very weak mintmark, you are very good with buffalo's, the buyer isn't..

Just give him the refund. I know it sucks. I sell on ebay as well. Sometimes you just got to deal with these people and easiest way for me is to give them the refund and sell it to someone else. I do think that ebay should not allow buyers who get a refund to leave feedback. That is an easy way for someone who doesn't like you, or is a competitor to damage your credibility.

I own a small business and on small issues I just offer them a refund with a smile and get on to more important things. Not everyone is one the same playing field.

Just do the return; not worth the hassle especially since your auction images are far too small to be conclusive. Had you included the images you posted here, chances are that buyer wouldn't have bitten on the coin.

I told him to return the coin.

Will restore it better when it comes back. (But not going to mess around with the mint mark area)
I will try and sell it for 25.00 (+ 3.25 shipping) if it comes out right.

I think I would try to get the mint mark to come out better. It's already a restored coin. Slap it on ebay with a .99 cent start and call it good. Make sure you put restored in the title and you shouldn't have any problems.

You think it would come out better?

Does anyone know how to stop the nickel from changing colors?
Once they touch the water, they turn different colors. I have to keep cleaning it off...
