Is anyone planning on purchasing the new 2014 Baseball Hall of Fame commemorative? I plan on buying one this Sunday from the Mint website. I can wait three months and pay $50 instead of buying one now for $100. |

It says the dollars are going to be able to ship on 7/7/14. Plus, I'm pretty sure they're minting for demand.

Good luck. The mintages for the silver dollars are getting very close to selling out or have already sold out. Get your order in ASAP so you'll be in the queue if others buyers decide cancel their orders.

Their is already a thread for this. also, sorry but baseball is right. they sold out quickly. the dollars had a max mintage of 400k if I remember correct.

400k is correct. They're still taking orders figuring some cancelations will happen but they're gone by now. As of the 8th only 2.3 percent of the mintage was left to be sold assuming the mints even counted all the orders to that point.

Confusing....ordered the silver dollar proof on the 6th of April. Said anticipated shipping date was 7/7. Checked on it a couple days later - said shipping date was now to be 4/24. Then back to 7/7. Today it says 6/21. Not even sure I'm in or out after this thread.
Hmmmm.....

Mraderm your orders safe. Its the ones from the 8th and 11ish where there could be some unhappy people. On the 6th there were about 55k left that could be sold.

When it will ship I have no clue but that was a great choice for a first proof. I got my proof halfs the other day and I generally am not a big proof fan and I love how these proofs look. It should be worth the wait

Was never very interested in proofs until I saw the detail on this coin. I saw a review on YouTube and I knew I had to have it in proof format. Thanks for the info basebal.

I really wish the mint would indicate the waitlist is in effect better. They should put that on the page where all of the coins are listed. The way they do it now is very confusing.

Completely agree about the waitlist, just put waitlisted instead of a shipdate when you see the product on any page so people know right away
