I stopped at my bank this week. I picked up a few half dollar coins. By few, I mean they had $150 worth!

So, I took them all, 2x2 the dates I needed, and the rest are being used to pay for everyday items.

For the month of May, let's all commit to pay with half dollars as often as possible to enlighten the masses that this coin is still valuable to our country!!

Who is with me?

Being in Canada I agree. I think Canadian Halves see more circulation than American. Still, I'd love to see them circulate more. I don't see why not. I personally would use them. Most government owned machines are designed to accept them, and I've received a few in change before.

This is basically a branch from the Project $100k. I think we should stick to that topic.

I go to 5 different banks and at least once a Month. I always ask for Halves and Ike dollar coins. So far in the last several years I've received NONE. Can't spend what no one has. No one wants either at least by me. Almost like trying to spend the baby sized dollar coins.

I applaud the sentiment, but we need to keep this project to one thread.

Please use the link referenced above.
