I have quite a few Native American dollar coins that I would like to trade in for Paper Money. I would hate to take them to a bank, so that's a Last resort thing for me. I'm also spending them as I can but I Need the money to pay some bills. Any advice as to what I should Do?

Also I hope this is in the Right Section. I placed it here since its a Dump related question. Thanks for the help!

find a coin shop and just sell them to them. Dollar Tree store always runs out on $1's so you could use them there and get money from them if you have one nearby. Think I sold them 60 one time when I went in and they gave me 3 $20 bills for them.

any time I have the little gold dollars, people seem to want to buy them from me and ask permission. I tell them wherever I am for them and halves I have plenty at home so it is fine with me and they just give me bills for them. $1 here or $50 there....same thing for halves.

know a friend that plays poker? sell them to him at face for use as poker chips.

roll them into $25 rolls and spend them at stores for like $10 each. most times they will take the whole roll and give you $15 back so they don't have them open and rattle around in the drawer.

why can you not pay your bills with them? I would. $1 coin or $1 bill, they are the same amount and have to be counted the same way int he same amount of time. if you owed the IRS they would take coins and any thing else for payment, so why shouldnt anywhere else since $1 = $1.

now if you got any with the turkey/wolf/turtle then try to sell them because those were not circulated, so you might get a little more than a dollar for each.

just some thought off the top of my head. good luck.
