Hello,

I have been browsing through my purchases and I have a problem in situating this penny because I can't seem to find this variety.

One-Penny-1862

It doesn't seem special but my attention was drawn because of the spacing between 6 and 2 which in my opinion should be wider? Or am I missing something here?

Many thanks for helping me out!
Rest in Peace

It may be a variety but sometimes varieties are so minor that they don't get any special consideration.

1862 is listed with the date sized for a halfpenny, but I dont thinkt hats what has happened here. I doubt theres any premium for that - normal die variation.

It's just a regular 1862, dies 6 + G, Freeman 39, certainly not the 1/2 penny digit variety. The spacing of the digits, particularly the final one does vary.
