Hi I/m new here but I just bought a 1854 plain trident penny, but it has rim damage on both sides. I would grade it EF/AU without the damage but I am wondering how much it will devalued for it?

Here is the link
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151269064....m1497.l2648

If the link doesn't work let me know.
Thanks

If the coin does devalue too much then I will send it back. But is only cost me £17 after my paypal voucher! :)

I'd be a bit annoyed if I were that seller and you returned it after they had noted the edge knocks clearly in their listing but maybe that's just me. At the very least if you return it, you should let the seller keep his initial postage cost and not expect a full refund.

Thank you all for your replies, the seller didn't send as I had doubts and he refunded me and will resist. I bought this one instead which I am happy with and only cost me £55 with he voucher, good detail, good luster and good date.
Let me know what you think.

That's a clear example of the 8/7 overdate and a nice grade. It doesn't have good lustre, as there is no lustre visible. I think you mean nicely toned?
