Nice looking coins. The 1st thing I saw on the reverse if the second coin was a bad word. Lol

I don't think there is any need to send them for grading, UNLESS you intend to sell them; nevertheless, the fees for grading would be justified by their potential value in this case.

Let the CCF members here grade them for you for FREE!

Like Olympic scoring: Delete the highest and lowest grades, then take an average of the remaining grading opinions. It would be hard to get a better TPG grading than that!

It may require a new thread to get the largest number of CCF members to respond to a more appropriate thread title.

Grading on the 1857 1 Riksdaler Specie--I would give it 1+/1 on the obverse, 1+ on reverse or VF net. Nice coin!
I'm less familiar for the Netherlands Ducatoon--but another nice coin!

I would grade both of these pieces at
good Fine.
Sheldon VF20 to 25.

They deserve some sort of good quality protection.

Enclose each of them in cardboard / Mylar flips, and write a brief description for each on the flip. You will need fine writing. Put the flips in a non PVC album page.
Housing in hard clear acrylic screw capsules would be a good alternative.

VF-20 for both, maybe 25 for the last one.

Sorry to hear about the details grades. I sent a Silver Rider to PCGS only to find out that they considered it cleaned, too. I really wanted one high quality one for my collection so I bought a slabbed from the Stack's Bowers auction this January.

Glad you got a good silver rider. I was thinking bidding for one as there were multiple from different provinces. I ended up buying a certified 3 gulden from that sale.

That Ducatoon horse and saber was cleaned so long ago it's silly to downgrade it today for that reason. Nice detail and good eye appeal.
