I have found nothing of note in over a month, nickels or cents! I am seeing a lot of 2013,2014's even in customer wrapped rolls. There is still a reasonable amount of copper in cent rolls but even that has dropped of somewhat. The only Wheat cent was gotten in change, not even in a roll. I am only doing about $50/ wk in nickels and about half that in cents but things seem to have slowed considerably. I did $30 in nickels the other day and there was not even one pre-60 in the bunch.

How are you disposing of your searched rolls? You may be running into stuff that you have already searched. Also, I don't know where your getting your sources from, if it is a local area bank, ebay, or other locations. I took the advice of an old roll hunter many years ago. he said; 1. use end crimped rolls to fill your searched coins with. Seal them with a roll crimper on the other end. Most people are impatient and will simply rip a roll open vice try to reuse a roll. This should scatter the coins you already searched. 2. For your rolls, before you send them back to a bank, put a recognizable mark on the rolls. This way, if you go back to the bank and see rolls with those marks, you can either bypass those rolls, or set them aside for last. You can then see how many of your own rolls are circulating around. 3. I will also eat a small loss and not take the coins back to the bank I get rolls/boxes/bags from. I will have my son take them to his bank, or, I will take them to Coinstar. That way its less likely to show up again in your searches.

Collector corner, I have been doing all the things you suggest for years that is why the slowdown has me concerned. Roll hunting is still fun but an occasional score would sure help morale.

I can only suggest calling another bank branch and asking them if they have anything available there. Maybe traveling a few towns will find a gold mine.

Same in Canada. The last box of quarters and 2 boxes of nickels were all plated. I did find 2 silver dimes after about 3 boxes of them. I don't know if someone else has moved in or if the coins are being filtered out by the mint.
Yesterday I went to 3 different banks to buy a box of nickels. I ended up with $60 worth. The banks shipped their boxes in.

I've been doing okay, I've transitioned to String boxes of nickels and found 7 War Nickels out of $200 worth over the weekend. And I'm still averaging 10-15 wheats per box.

My son and I only collect nickels actively right now, and the "pickins" are slimmer than they were a few years ago.

I'm not having much luck myself either. I think I'm going to take a break for a while.

this stuff is streaky, sometimes hot, sometimes cold. I loved the nickel box I just did, 2 wars, 2 buffs, and a 2nd 2003s proof. pennies were mostly new, like 95% 2014, but I squeaked out 2 wheats, which pleased me. I expected a wheat skunk.

Doesn't really feel like a streak. It feels like everything I'm getting in halves the last month is pure recycled.
Today the rolls were so loose in one box, obviously rolled by someone else than Loomis, etc..., that I could push them right out of the roll without lifting up the tucked in part.
Unbelievably, 3 40's in that box.
Haven't had a 90% in at least a month or 2 months. Time to switch dump banks. It really feels like someone else is getting to them before me. Or, that Loomis and companies are just garbage in/garbage out. They're probably getting sick of it.

I've been roll hunting since 1978. I just don't get the intensity of today's hunters, with PM prices slumping like they are.
When I listen to LED ZEPPELIN...so do my neighbors... Roll hunting since '77 Dirt fishing since '72
