I went to my parents for early easter today, and got there soon enough to stop at the local bank to see if they had halves. Theysaid none in rolls but there were some loose one if I wanted. The teller king of poured a few on the counter and I saw a franklin in the bag, so I quickly said sure I want them. The teller then said they had to count them because there might be tokens in the bunch, as she pulled a odd looking coin out. When she went back to count I saw that she had pulled a 39 walker out. so when she came back I asked if I could have that one as well. She said "no that's just a token". I assured her it was a half dollar so she included it. there was 85$ worth and I just went through them after I got home, in addition to the Walker there is a 90% and 2 40% kennedies, but the Franklin went AWOL. I am sure she set it aside in the back because it was a "token".
I have to wait till tomorrow to check for any varieties or NIFC.

Congrats - too bad for the teller, she only got away with one "token".

I feel like tellers should be honest. It's still annoying when they save them, but it's hard to blame them because I certainly would!

However, I would leave them sitting out there for everyone to see and then call them tokens. Lame!

Next time, say you collect tokens and you'll gladly buy them :)
