What are you seeing as doubled? It looks like a normal circulated coin with wrapper damage on the motto. On the 1941 (And most other doubled dies) it can often be seen on the date or on the "U" on the motto first. 1966:

Take a look at the "E" next to the "R". You can see the doubling in the coppercoins image and there is no doubling on the OP's images provided. Circulation does flatten coins and distort them. But when looking at this circulation, you note the same overall flattening on all devices, then mix in coin contact. The result is there, you just have to look to see IF it matches on all devices. If not, then it isn't from that die.
