Is this coin fake date looks strange?

Whoa! I'm no expert on Lincolns, but yes, it looks fake big time.

I would stay far away from that one. That date and mint mark look terrible. Most likely added on later, or possible it was a 44 D that was trimmed, and worn to disguise the tooling

Also although the photo is not detailed enough, it appears that the diagnostic die crack is missing.

Here's another one I suspect is fake. Die crack isn't there and VDB looks to be present on his shoulder. Shouldn't be there.

both are fake. The date and mintmark are too bold on the first one and everything looks wrong on the second one.

Yeah...they didn't even get the shape/spacing between the date digits right--stay away!

Actually the second one is a bit impressive. It's a modified 44, but unlike most, they didn't just trim the 4 into a 1. They actually moved it to the left. Spacing is still wrong, but at least it isn't as obvious.

I'd buy that first one. If the cost was cheap enough, would make for a great coin for laughs. Never seen a fake that bad. It is almost like having a 57 Chevy without fins. It sort of has that smashed by a hammer look. Really great fake when they are so bad.
