It's hot on the heels of the recent Wedge-Tailed Eagle coins. It features a nicely realistic portrait of an American Bald Eagle on its reverse. A total of 5,000 of the one-ounce silver proof coins were struck. It seems to be fairly popular here in the US, the two dealers who had inventory have each sold out. I was happy to get one when it was first available. Any interest in the coin "Down Under"? Collecting history one coin or medal at a time! (c) commems. All rights reserved. Silveroid Pillar of the Community Canada 6768 Posts	Posted 04/23/2014 1:18 pm I like the coin, and very like the Perth Mint High Relief (of cause, not buy them all), Koala and year of the Dragon - my favourites here. But the Eagle...again, it good. I just feel that it has nothing to Australia, like a commissioned coin for some US dealer(it even doesn't have AU denomination). But definitely, would like to see the same coin minted by US Mint and have US denomination. Report this Post to the Staff
