I bought this roll on ebay all 1958 d, this is one of the few I've checked so far.

Looks like a very nice cent with a clear rpm, looks like your luck is starting off very well :-)

I can clearly see a D/D.
I might see a split double serif on the lower serif, but its tough to tell.

If it is a D/D/D just make sure you hit http://www.coppercoins.com and match it up to the markers that may be present on your coin.
Not all markers will be there, and if Coppercoins doesn't have the same die stage that you have, markers can be way off. BUT the overall look of the RPM should be the same.

Most of my D/D/D have either a distinct third mintmark at some odd angle or the serifs will show 2 separate splits.

In any event, its a cool find. AND its copper, not a rotting zinc.    = )


Here is a 1959-D/D/D that I managed to pull 25 out of a bag about 4+ months ago.
