I was checking my cash drawers today doing my usual edge check for silver and I saw this. The edge was so clean and bright I thought it was a new foreign coin. Sorry about the crappy pictures they really don't do much justice. Not perfect but the most luster I have seen on a coin this old in the wild.

From those photos, looking at the rims, I think it is a proof.

I would have never thought about it being a proof, but now that you guys point it out, the coin is very sharp!

Looks even nicer in hand the camera really accentuates all the very fine scratches. I wish I knew if it was in a role or if one of my employees took it in.

I've found a few proofs in CRH, but they were nickels

My biggest WOW find was a 1955-S, gotta love key dates in coin rolls and it didn't look as good as yours

Gratz she's a beauty

Edit: spelling

Nice find!
Always great to find a silver coin.

@smokeriderdon, I don't know about you but I put my coins inside the 2x2.

It was just sitting there! I haven't found silver quarter in years but I do still find some good dimes from time to time. This was definitely the best condition.
