Okay, here goes: There is something unusual going on with this 1999-P cent, on some devices it looks like it should be MD but it is not flat or shelf-like.The tops of the "ED" in UNITED are warped and distorted. There are notches present on some devices and the whole EPU is reminiscent of the 2004 1DR-001 or 1DR-002 EPU's. The EPU dots seem to be elongated. The statue of President Lincoln looks like the Pillsbury Dough Boy. At times I thought it was some version of a trail die and at other times I thought it was just ejection doubling, most of the time I thought I was losing what is left of my mind.

My best guess is a 1999-P 1DER-043T trail die. Am I close?

Thank you for all opinions and help.

Looks like a trail die to me. Especially the tops of the columns. Does it have the dies scratches and cracks on the obverse. It does look like the reverse.

Look like it might be that one. Do the markers on the obverse match up? (Long die scratch through L of Liberty, long scratch from bottom of S in Trust) Everything on the reverse seems to match. Nice find!

1999P-1DER-010T

Trail dies are a type of die anomaly that causes what appear to be trails or lines extending from the design elements. You can find out a ton more info on:
