Was observing pennies I set a side a while ago and came across this one. It looks like there is an extra eye. Would like to know your opinions on it. Thanks!

Looks like a coin well placed hit in the eye area and pushed up some metal toward the nose. If it were die damage, then we would expect to see more examples. But I'm thinking it is just coin damage.

that hit is a right angle, and could have been from the very bottom of the die. The metal flow probably went high enough to cause the metal to bottom out.

It looks like it is in the die to me. Maybe just a die gouge or possible clash?
