Ok so I have been looking at pretty much all of my pocket change for awhile now and I have found some pretty good coins with obvious errors and rare coins. I did not want to bother everyone with every single coin I have found but today I was going threw my change and found this guy. It is a 2001 P Rhode Island State Quarter. I looked at as close as possible but I do not have my jewelry loop anymore since my neighbor burnt down my condo. So I put it in my scanner since I do not have a camera anymore and the picture did not seem to come out very well but I did try.

So when I looked at the quarter it seems that there might be some doubling in the In God We Trust. Maybe a little in the E in WE and in the T at the end of trust. Also the P stamp looked a little off to me. In my opinion it is just wear from being thrown around since 2001 but I figured I would throw it on here. Thank you to everyone that responds. If you would like I can scan some of my other coins that I think were pretty decent finds. Thank you everyone.

Image too small.

Needs to be larger.

In order to get better pics,, there are few ways to do it;

1. on the camera see if there is a MACRO or close up setting , usually indicated by a flower. turn that on. When you get close to the coin, try not to zoom more than 2x or so. It will keep the coin from becoming blurry.

2. There are free file dump locations out there like inkfrog and a few others that let you post pictures over the 100KB size. All you have to do is put the link in the post and others can view it. You can use the button next to the YouTube button in the full editor and it will allow you to put a path between the [iNg]...[/iNg] (used an "n" vice an "m" so it would show- should be img) brackets and the pic will show here, and auto resize. An original pic of less than 1000x1000 should be fine.

3. Your lighting seems to be OK, it may be a weeee too bright. Lighting can be diffused by putting a small piece of cloth, fabric or something over the light just long enough to snap the pic. Outside in a non direct sunlight may work as well.

Well that is not actually a picture. I do not have my camera anymore because my neighbor burnt down my condo. So I put the quarter in my scanner to try and get a good picture of it. Sorry
